Dance Quest International
A practical guide for FishHawk Ranch and Lithia parents comparing dance classes: ages, styles, tuition, schedules, and what to look for in a studio.

Looking for dance classes near FishHawk Ranch or Lithia?
Parents searching for dance classes in FishHawk or a dance studio in Lithia, FL usually want the same three things: a short drive, a schedule that works after school, and a studio where their child will be known by name.
Dance Quest International’s studio is at 853 Lithia Pinecrest Rd in Brandon — the same road many FishHawk and Lithia families already use every day. Dance Quest has trained dancers across Central Florida since 1995, and our Brandon studio has served east Hillsborough families since 2011.
This guide covers what FishHawk-area parents should compare before enrolling, which classes fit each age, what tuition really costs, and how to get started.
What to look for in a FishHawk-area dance studio
Classes built around your child’s age
A three-year-old and a ten-year-old need very different classes. Look for a studio that groups dancers by age and readiness, not just by style. Dance Quest classes are organized into four stages: Little Dancers (ages 2–4), Foundations (ages 5–7), Grow (ages 8–12) and Teens+ (13 and up).
Real technique, taught with encouragement
Strong technique helps dancers progress safely. Encouragement keeps them coming back. You want both. Our mission is excellence with encouragement: correcting with purpose, celebrating breakthroughs, and noticing the quiet dancer in the back row.
Tuition you can see before you call
Many studios only share pricing over the phone. Ours is published on the Tuition page: a $35 annual registration fee per dancer (or $65 for a family with two or more siblings) and $80 per month for one weekly studio class, with the season spread over 10 payments.
Communication after every class
You should not have to guess what your child is learning. Dance Quest families receive class updates in their inbox after class, so you know what was practiced and what comes next.
A reason to perform
Performing gives dancers a goal to work toward. Our year-end Showcase is scheduled for June 3–5, 2027.
Dance styles available to FishHawk and Lithia families
Combo classes (ages 2–6) pair two styles in one structured class — Ballet/Tap, Ballet/Jazz or Acro/Jazz — plus Tutu 2’s & 3’s for the littlest movers.
Ballet builds posture, alignment, strength and the vocabulary every other style draws on. Jazz adds energy and performance quality. Tap builds rhythm and timing. Acro develops strength, flexibility and controlled tricks.
Older dancers can add Hip Hop (6+), Contemporary (6+), Musical Theatre (9+) and Pointe for qualified ballet students. Harmony is our class for dancers of all abilities, ages 6 and up, on Fridays at 6:30 PM. See every style on the Programs page.
Dance classes at your child’s school
Some FishHawk and Lithia children take their first dance class without leaving campus. Through our Partner Sites program, Dance Quest instructors teach weekly classes at preschools, private schools and childcare centers across Brandon, Valrico, FishHawk and Plant City. Partner site tuition is $75 per month, and many of those dancers move to the studio as they grow.
Recreational or competitive dance?
Most dancers start recreationally: one or two classes a week, focused on skills, friendships and the Showcase. Dancers who want more training and performance opportunities can grow into Dance Quest Company, our competitive team. There is no need to decide on day one — let your dancer’s interest lead.
Paying for dance with Step Up For Students
Many Florida families can use Step Up For Students funding toward eligible classes. Our Step Up For Students guide explains how it works at Dance Quest.
