Dance Quest International
What it means to train at a faith-based dance studio, what to ask any studio about its culture, and how Dance Quest pairs excellent training with encouragement.

Looking for a Christian dance studio near Brandon?
Many families searching for a Christian dance studio in Brandon, FL are not looking for a different kind of dance. They want strong training in a place where their child is safe, valued and encouraged — and where the culture lines up with what they teach at home.
Dance Quest International was founded in 1995 on exactly that idea. As our founder puts it, Dance Quest began with a vision that God placed on her heart: to bring the joy, discipline, creativity and confidence of dance directly into the lives of children.
What a faith-based dance studio is — and is not
A faith-based studio is still a dance studio. Classes teach real technique in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, acro, contemporary and more. The difference is the culture around the training: how teachers speak to students, how success and failure are handled, and what dancers are taught dance is for.
At Dance Quest, we believe dance can make a difference beyond the studio — encouraging every dancer to build confidence, serve others and use their gifts to positively impact the people around them.
Excellence with encouragement
Our mission is to help every dancer grow through excellence while feeling seen, supported and believed in. Six values shape every class, rehearsal and conversation, starting with two:
Excellence
We pursue excellence in every class, performance and interaction, encouraging dancers to grow through hard work, discipline and a commitment to doing their best.
Encouragement
Great teachers do more than teach choreography. They notice the quiet dancer, celebrate the breakthrough, correct with purpose and encourage through frustration.
Questions to ask any dance studio about its culture
Whether or not you choose Dance Quest, these questions reveal a lot about a studio:
How do teachers give corrections? Corrections should be specific and respectful, never shaming.
How are music and costumes chosen? Ask how the studio keeps both appropriate for each age group.
How are parents kept informed? You should know what your child is learning without having to ask. Dance Quest families receive class updates after class.
What happens when a dancer struggles? Look for a studio that sees a hard season as a chance to grow, not a reason to be left behind.
Is there a place for every dancer? Dance Quest’s Harmony class welcomes dancers of all abilities, ages 6 and up, on Fridays at 6:30 PM.
Training that goes into schools, too
From the beginning, Dance Quest partnered with preschools, private schools, Christian schools and childcare centers so children could experience professional dance instruction where they already learn and play. Today we partner with more than 30 schools across Brandon, Tampa, Plant City, Lakeland, Clermont, Ocoee, Winter Garden and Oakland. Learn more on the Partner Sites page or read our story.
What families say
Dance Quest families have left hundreds of reviews on Google and Facebook. Parents often mention the encouraging teachers and the Christian environment, and many have stayed with us for years as their dancers grew up.
Classes for every age
Combo classes (ages 2–6) pair two styles in one structured class — Ballet/Tap, Ballet/Jazz or Acro/Jazz — plus Tutu 2’s & 3’s for the littlest movers.
Ballet builds posture, alignment, strength and the vocabulary every other style draws on. Jazz adds energy and performance quality. Tap builds rhythm and timing. Acro develops strength, flexibility and controlled tricks.
Older dancers can add Hip Hop (6+), Contemporary (6+), Musical Theatre (9+) and Pointe for qualified ballet students. Harmony is our class for dancers of all abilities, ages 6 and up, on Fridays at 6:30 PM. See every style on the Programs page.
