Dawn, Systems Director Studio Manager at Dance Quest, was born and raised in a small farm town in Nebraska. The US Air Force moved her, her husband, and almost 3-year-old to South Florida in 2007. Four years later and with 2 more children, the new family of 5 moved to Lithia to plant their roots after her husband retired from the USAF. Dawn spent 15 years (1994-2009) in the Hospitality industry starting at the Front Desk of a Holiday Inn Convention Center and ending as a Training & Development Specialist for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, traveling the world assisting with the development of new reservation systems, corporate training materials, and training new team members. Although she loved her career dearly, traveling was no longer the best option for the growing family so staying at home with 3 little ones in a new city and state became her new career. One year after moving to the Tampa Bay/Brandon area, in the fall of 2012, all three of Dawn’s children were introduced to Dance Quest! Today, 10 years later, Dawn’s youngest two are still dancing with Dance Quest on the Teen Company Competition Team. In the fall of 2017, Dawn began assisting DQ with costumes, taking on the role of Costume Manager the next year and each year after, adding just a bit more responsibility than the year before. Dawn has a passion for creating systems to make processes easier & more efficient. Work smarter, not harder is her motto. One might find it interesting that Dawn has never even taken a dance class, but she was ranked in ECNC State Volleyball in High School, and even broke school records! 2 Timothy 1:2 For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and sound mind.
